welcome to mini morfi

Mini Morfi is a fun and cosy town with a hairdresser, a theatre, a garage and much more. Everywhere you go there are lots of opportunities to play math. You work with symmetry when you make fun hairdos with Funky the hairdresser. You need to pick the right sizes when you make a car in Molly and Polly's car shop. Or you can make patterns for the trees at Alfie's plant nursery.
Visually, Mini Morfi builds on children’s immediate world. You can find plenty of beauty and math in everyday stuff - in the refrigerator, in the drawer or in nature. Math is all around you.

Mini Morfi is based on six universal mathematical activities: Locating, counting, designing, measuring, explaining and playing.

Using real objects like pasta, leaves or biscuits in the Mini Morfi universe, makes children aware that math is all around them.

This implies that the role of the adult is crucial. To put into words children's findings is extremely important.

Early math skills are pivotal for children’s learning and success in school.
